November 14, 2025
The International Treaty Organisation (ITO) joins the global community in observing World Diabetes Day 2025, reaffirming its commitment to advancing equitable healthcare access for people everywhere.
A Shared Commitment to Global Health
Marking this annual UN-recognised day, the ITO underscores the need for stronger international cooperation in tackling one of the world’s most widespread health challenges. Over 530 million people currently live with diabetes, many without consistent access to insulin, education, or early diagnostic care.
The theme of this year’s observance “Access to Care for All” highlights the importance of collaboration between governments, institutions, and communities to ensure that life-saving treatment and prevention strategies are available to everyone, regardless of income or geography.
A Message from the Secretariat
“On behalf of the International Treaty Organisation, we extend our solidarity to all who live with diabetes and to the healthcare professionals working tirelessly to support them. Access to care is not a privilege but a universal right. The ITO continues to advocate for global systems that prioritise inclusivity, transparency, and the protection of human health.”
— The Secretariat, International Treaty Organisation (ITO)
Advancing Health Through Dialogue and Cooperation
Health equity remains at the heart of global stability and development. The ITO believes that lasting progress in public health can only be achieved through open dialogue, responsible policy, and shared innovation.
As we observe World Diabetes Day 2025, the ITO reaffirms its dedication to promoting cooperation, awareness, and actionable solutions that bring the world closer to sustainable health for all.
Together, we stand united for a future where access to care is not the exception but the norm.
